When people shop online, they’re far more likely to buy from someone they trust. If your brand is a household name, you might have that trust already, but smaller businesses have to work hard to earn it.
Having a well-designed website that’s easy to use is one way to build credibility. Adding seals and badges to show off your credentials is another.
Nexxia Audio Solutions
Audio accessories supplier Nexxia sell all kinds of equipment for home and vehicle sound-systems. From bespoke wall plates to cables and car stereos, you’ll find high quality accessories at great prices on their website.
Managing Director Simon Jacobs founded the company in 1999, and it has gone from strength to strength ever since. He recently implemented trust badges on the website to increase conversions, becoming a Which? Trusted Trader and adding customer reviews using third party service eKomi.
The Power of Reviews
You only have to look at sites like Amazon and eBay to understand the power of customer feedback. Search Engines are even starting their own schemes, like Google’s Certified Shops programme. And according to Econsultancy, having reviews results in an average 18% uplift in sales.
Nexxia have always offered great customer service, but by adding reviews, visitors get to see what customers really think before making a purchase. As the reviews are through a third party, they’re much more believable than handpicked testimonials.
There are a number of third-party review services, such as eKomi, Reevoo, Feefo and TrustPilot. Many of these give you the added benefit of ratings in the search results as well as badges and reviews on your site.
The example below shows how Nexxia have successfully integrated their eKomi ratings into their Google Ads.
With so many review services to choose from, it can be difficult to know which one to choose. Researching a number of different options and choosing the one that suits you is often the best option.
Simon chose eKomi for its simplicity and approachable staff.
“They weren’t pushy at all, and their system was easy to integrate into ours. We also like the fact that getting eKomi ratings into Google is quite straightforward.”
Initially, Simon added reviews of Nexxia as a whole to the site. However, this is just the first step.
“eKomi also support product reviews, which would be a big bonus for us, but we haven’t yet integrated that side of the interface.”
What about Negative Reviews?
Some retailers might be worried about negative feedback appearing on their site, and so avoid review services altogether. However, it’s worth bearing in mind that having 100% happy customers is damaging too. It just doesn’t look real.
Recent research has found that negative reviews can actually increase conversions, and most review services have features to protect retailers from inaccurate comments.
Simon says that with eKomi, “if you do get an unhappy customer, the feedback is mediated first before being published.”
Reviewing Mitra Marketing
As well as getting plenty of feedback for his customers, Simon also kindly commented on our work.
“I’ve always found Graham and his team to be very efficient – always offering an honest opinion about Google services and SEO. They are very professional and willing to work with their customers.
“I have been working with Mitra for a number of years and highly recommend them for online marketing and SEO work.”
